My Story

Age: 32

Start: August 2018

 

I’m from ‘Sunny’ Scotland. Before heading out to Australia I worked as a lifestyle coach for children teaching them all about healthy eating and active living. I got fed up and fancied a change, so packed my bags and travelled Asia for 8 months before landing in Australia. Initially I did what every back packer does when they first arrive and blew all my money on partying. I was up in Brisbane when my card was declined at the bar. I phone my best mate who I came to Australia with who had just started a job with Talk Scoop a few weeks previous and basically begged him to get me a job. After speaking with the Manager on the phone that night, I flew back to Sydney and started in Talkscoop as a Lead Generator the following day.

When I first joined, Talkscoop was at the grass roots stage of the business. In the months that followed, I really began to gain traction, booking in leads for the sales team. This was purely down to the constant daily training from the leadership team as well as having the correct mindset and motivation to go out and make these appointments in the head - purely driven by the money factor. As the business began to grow, I earnt the opportunity to build my own team. For the next 2 years  I had a consistent team of around 6-8 who I would look after and train resulting in me making an override of their sales. I was then given the opportunity to fly over to Perth to learn the ins and outs of how to sell in these appointments. At this point I was really starting to see dollar signs every week having 3 streams of income from the same company, when I was then given the opportunity to then train up some of the team leaders to learn sales. At this point I was invested in the business and motivated, with my top earnings for a week just being over $6,000. From coming into the business not knowing a thing about sales in general, to 2.5 years later making this sort of money and in a career I could see myself doing for life. This was purely down to surrounding myself with the correct people, absorbing as much information from the Managers and the team as well as my own self learning. The real driving factor for myself was that the commission was uncapped and the sky was the limit.

Now back in Scotland I am a branch manager of a renewable company selling solar and air-source heat pumps. I run a team of 6-8  who collectively are generating average £600,000 per month in sales (top branch month on month) I am now on track to becoming the regional sales manager for the company by the end of the year. From working within the direct sales field now for over 6 years I have managed to make a lot of money and buy the finer things in life. With the money I made in Australia I invested a lot of it into cryptocurrency which has paid off, I have now bought myself a 3 bedroom new build home in Scotland, drive a nice car, been on many luxury holidays and recently just put my name on the waiting list for my dream Rolex watch.
